Burton upon Stather stands on the edge of the River Trent. This small quiet village boasts two pubs both serving fresh homemade food in a welcoming setting. There is a small shop open till late everyday for your essentials and an established bus route which will take you to the heart of Scunthorpe town.
For those who like outdoor pursuits we have a plethora of walks and cycle routes from and around the local area including walks to The Alkborough flats, perfect for bird enthusiasts with various bird hides dotted around the marsh area & a café to relax and unwind in. We are a short drive from Waters Edge Nature Reserve and Far Ings bird reserve, both worth exploring.
There are an abundance of small, quaint villages in the are as well as some historic towns such as the Market Town of Brigg and popular shopping destination of Scunthorpe.
