Its location makes a perfect starting point for exploring the Dales, on foot or by car, horse or bicycle. There is a traditional market day each Wednesday when the small town thrives with locals and visitors. Bentham is the most westerly town in North Yorkshire. It is known as a gateway to the Forest of Bowland and is located on the Way of the Roses and Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle routes.
